Based on the number of people in leadership positions who aren't great, or even good, leaders it seems that what motivates many people to those positions isn't conviction but the desire for control. Little do they know that the truly greatest of leaders understand that control is the thing which they least possess.

...and there we are all falling for the same trap...the ego leadership forms descibed here... true and the only form of leadership is neither...true leadership is overflowing with enthousiasm...so people gather around you because you have plentyfull...and all the other stuff is dangerous indoctrination...so do yourself a favour and become a leader instead off smartarse remarks and analitical bullsh*t...the whole worls already is filled up with pseudo leaders going for the forms described here...wake up and do us a favour...be carefull with these statements... they are trully dangerous... love ye, r : )

Leadership is about responsibility, for people, a cause, a belief, etc. For too many, it's about ego, about power, about being "right", about needing recognition and respect. Sometimes, it's not about what's worth DYING for, but about what is worth living for. Creating a better way of life.

LEAD

Leadership is a funny thing.

The position of 'leader' is  one of the most powerful positions a person can have.

What motivates the lead? For some people it is about charisma, for others, its thoughts, heroism, talent or these days, a gift of being a stellar communicator.

Regardless, the thing all the greatest leaders all have in common is, conviction.

They can lead for good or for evil, but they convince their followers through doing something that they are willing to die for... metaphorically or literally.
